Cylinder Contains Pressure / Energy

The cylinders are high pressurized vessel working at 150 bar (2176 psig) and 200 bar (2901 psig). In the event of an accident, where the cylinder drops and the valve is disconnected, the cylinder could become a steel rocket weighing at 50kg being propelled by more than 2000 psig.

Therefore, we are now fixing our cylinders with safety valve guards in stages. The valve guards are fitted to the cylinders to prevent valve from being opened inadvertently.

Drop Test

The safety valve guards are tested to meet the drop test requirements for a 300 bar cylinder DOT standard.

Photos above show a drop test was carried out to a 50 liters cylinder from 10 feet height (inclusive cylinder height). Deformation is minimal and the valve remains untouched.

Deformation is minimal as seen here.   The valve remains untouched and intact.

Fitting Regulator

Use proper tools and follow correct fitting method.   Usage of wrong tools and fitting method can lead to inconveniences.

Turning On/Off the Cylinder

Use suitable spindle key and open the cylinder valve slowly.   Do not use T- type spindle key to open the cylinder valve with full force.

Trolley and Rolling Method

Use trolley to move cylinder.

Where trolley is not feasible to be used due to space limitation, hold the cylinder valve and roll as shown.

Do not use the valve guard to lift the cylinder.

Do not roll the cylinder by the valve guard.
