Unlike competitive products, Surfynol and Dynol additives are multifunctional
providing the ideal combination of good coverage over low energy
substrate, and low or non-foaming properties, even under dynamic
conditions. Based on proprietary acetylenics diol technology that
makes this extraordinary performance possible, Air Products' Surfynol
additives have been successfully used for years in a host of adhesive
applications including pressure-sensitive adhesives (PSAs), lamination
and flexible packaging and general adhesives for carpet, wood, automotive
use and more. The Surfynol product line includes low- and non-foaming
wetting agents and defoamers for low-, medium- or high-viscosity
formulations. These novel products won't interfere with peel, tack,
shear, and other properties in the finished adhesive and are available
in an assortment of grades to meet a broad range of FDA requirements
for direct and indirect food contact.
